  • Designed and Implemented a cloud based transcoding platform that scales instantly.
  • Envisioned, designed, and developed a new customer portal to create and manage orders in under three months, as a member of a small team, using Django.
  • Provided leadership in agile engineering practices/processes resulting in efficiency gains for greater team throughput.
  • Designed and developed an automated system for ingesting physical media and documents complete with document imaging and FedEx integration and package tracking.
  • Designed and built a web based cloud management application to manage and monitor queues, compute nodes, storage, and data.
  • Built a an iPhone interface to our cloud management application.
  • Implemented a system for automatically launching complete stand alone environments for testing, dramatically lowering the time to complete a QA cycle on production-like environments.

  • Started in 2006 and transitioned from Engineering/Managing Partner role to that of Adviser in late 2007.
  • Designed, Built, and Marketed a custom MS SQL SSIS Component that converted EBCDIC data into Unicode/ASCII data that can be then imported into tables in a Microsoft SQL Server database.
  • Managed the full end to end product life cycle: from product definition, design, implementation, marketing and sales, and support.
  • Have customers in numerous industries and governments, both in the US as well as overseas.

  • Championed getting my team transitioned from a variety of adhoc engineering tools over to Team Foundation Server for source control management, unit testing, and process control.
  • Developed components of a large nationwide physician office management platform.

Enterprise Architect
  • Provided technical leadership to development organization of over 50 engineers under the direction of the Chief Architect.
  • Led a proof of concept using cutting edge database tools from Microsoft (SQL 2005 and Analysis Services) to detect and identify fraudulent healthcare claims using analytical modeling rather than manual queries.
  • Managed strategic relationships with Microsoft and Dell.
  • Used GDI+ to design and built a custom data mapping and transformation tool that employed custom owner drawn controls.
  • Heavy experience with VLDB challenges while designing an ETL solution as well as solving scalability issues with one of the largest OLTP databases in the world - See Wintercorp 2005

Software Engineer
  • Worked on a number of different systems and business units within WebMD.
  • Maintained and built claims billing systems that were responsible for billing $30-$40 million per month.
  • Discovered a bug that was costing the company $3 million per year in revenue due to under billing. Implemented the fix and communicated the issue to the senior management.
  • Collaborated with executive level staff in Sales, Finance, and Contracts departments to design and build a new billing system based in Oracle.
  • Designed and developed a host of internal applications:
  • Change Management System (ASP, COM+ in VB, SQL 2000)
  • Time and Cost Tracking System (C#, ASP.NET, SQL 2000)
  • Authentication Web Service (C#, SQL 2000, SOAP)
  • Web Based Mail (C#, ASP.NET, Interop Services, Exchange 2000, Active Directory)
  • Common Toolkit (ADO.NET wrappers, Dynamic Graphing using GDI+, written in C# and used throughout my .NET projects)
  • Was selected and served on the companies technology steering committee.
